Samsung was ranked second in terms of Smartphone
The South Korean company said it first reached this figure in a year driven by its cell line in the disputed Galaxy smartphone segment
When not yet finished the year, Samsung said it shipped 300 million phones to market in November 2011, a milestone for the South Korean company, reaching the figure for the first time in its history since entering the cell phone industry in 1998 .
Thus, this year’s report, which does not include firms that generate the expected December sales, broadly, to exceed 280 million units shipped to market during 2010.
“We hope to expand this event in 2012,” said JK Shin, head of business phones from Samsung, quoted by Reuters. The company also said its Galaxy line of smartphones contributed to the results obtained in 2011.
Launched in April this year, the second version of its smartphone Galaxy, known as S II, recorded 10 million units sold worldwide. Thus, Samsung managed to gain ground in the smartphone segment and was ranked in second place behind Apple’s iPhone, according to estimates by various mobile industry analysts .

Collection of classic books for the iPad will be expanded to 60,000
I’ve never read anything on an iPad, but I imagine many of you have done so. The large number of books available for the tablets is very diverse, and now the universe of securities is further enhanced, thanks to the British Library offers.
With just download an application launched by the British Library, we will be able to read our iPads over 45,000 classics. The application is called Historical 19th Century British Library Access, and was created in conjunction with the software company Bibliolabs. With this application, authors like Mary Shelley, Charles Dickens, Daniel Defoe and many more, as well as travel documents of Victorian poetry and scientific texts can be read and enjoyed from the iPad.
Also, do not think that these digital books are like common because it is not, as they have been designed to give the impression of reading each of the titles as they are in their original format. That is, the design recreates the texture, color and shape of an old book. All it would take would be the smell of paper.
“We launched a trial run in June, and we were completely overwhelmed by the great response we got … was phenomenal,” said Samantha Tillett, prodcut development manager at the British Library.
The collection of classic books for iPad will expand to 60,000 by year-end titles, and not only present nineteenth century books, but also of the eighteenth century, in French, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch. A great opportunity to read great classics.
Gateway DX4850 -45 with the best performance
The Gateway DX4850 -45 offers very fast performance with Intel Core chip i5 and strong multimedia capabilities, thanks to Blu – ray drive and HDMI output.
The bad: Being midtower PC makes it a difficult to add a living room, a power supply spare anemia and external ports obviously hurt their ability to spread.
The end result: DX4850 -45 a strange mixture of Blu – ray and performance capability, but if you have space for a PC mid tower both productivity and for the entertainment of disk-based HD, this system can have a certain appeal.
Review: Desktop PCs for home entertainment usually come to us in the slim chassis, which makes the mid tower based Gateway DX4850 -45 rather unique. Application performance is respectable, but Blu – ray drive and HDMI output suggest that this system was designed for the consumption of digital media. Quite convincing PC entertainment and productivity every day.
